One of my favorite places. The food is always fresh and delicious. The Pho is good, the vermicelli bowls are good. I am working my way though the menu hoping to try everything. You won't be disappointed if you try this place.

Nope. Never again. I love pho places and this place had such a good rating and I was so excited. I asked for chicken pho, no onions. I'm allergic to onions. They gave me onions. When I said I asked for them without, they told me to pick them out. Then my waitress got in her car and left. So... Yeah. I'm sitting here writing this review. Paying ten bucks for something I didn't even eat. Cool..

I always stop in for a meal here when I visit Oklahoma City. The owners are so friendly, the food is very fresh, and their prices are reasonable. I love their Vietnamese egg rolls. They are authentic because they are made with rice paper instead of egg roll skin and I like the fact that they make them with chicken instead of pork. I also love their pho, pork in a clay pot, and lemongrass chicken with vermicelli noodles. Be sure to try their fresh lemonade!

I'll second the five stars. American breakfast / chinese food.... odd combo, but I ate chinese and it was off the charts.

Baluu's? We call this place "Mystery Diner" bc you never know what kind of food your going to get. It says on the menu that it is a American/Chinese/Vietnamese diner. And indeed it is. There is a typical American diner section of the menu that has every kind of America style breakfast food you can imagine from bacon & eggs to pancakes to lunch items like club sandwiches to meatloaf, fried catfish, Hamburgers & Patty melts. There is also a section of Vietnamese items like spring rolls, Pho & vermicelli bowls. Then, there is a section that has Chinese egg rolls, sesame beef, orange chicken, fried rice, curry chicken & crab rangoon, which are both excellent. It's a typical family owned diner style atmosphere. The family that runs the place are really nice people & we have always received excellent service with a smile. The father cooks, everything is made fresh to order, the mother & daughter wait tables & are very sweet ladies. They always remember us & seem happy to see us. There is no alcohol, no bar, & it's not a 5 star place by no means, but most of the food is pretty good. Except the fried rice, which has no flavor & the chicken in the vermicelli bowl taste strange. However, when we are in a large group for breakfast or lunch meetings we always find ourselves at this place bc there is such a diversity of items to choose from. A crowd pleaser, something for everyone. Plus it's very inexpensive & EVERYONE loves that. I love the green tea & the fact that you can get a small or large pot of it. The curry chicken & crab Rangoon is the BOMB. I also love the spring rolls, burgers & fries. I LOVE the fact that they have healthy breakfast like egg white omelets with spinach & cherry tomatoes with sliced avocado toast, a side of fruit & turkey bacon. I also love they have daily specials, something new all the time on the menu. They also serve the gluttonous "chicken doughnut" here. It's called orange chicken on the menu but it's really a fried beignet doughnut with chicken inside in a orange & chicken flavored maple syrup sauce. Children, hungover & pregnant people seem to LOVE this dish. It's not fancy, but I like Baluu's Mystery Diner. It's the only place I know where you can take a pregnant lady to get a beignet chicken doughnut, spring rolls & fried catfish & satisfy a whole group of other people that want pancakes, Cheeseburgers & Pho! And Pho me, that's Phenomenally convenient ;)

I had a hard time picking out what to order since their menu was entirely in English. I'm Vietnamese so I usually prefer the menu to be half in Viet since I'm used to the Viet names. The English descriptions just doesn't cut it. We came during lunch on a Wednesday and the entire place was deserted. We were the only customers in there. I thought that was strange since they have pretty good Yelp reviews. I ordered the broken rice plate with grilled chicken. They ran out of broken rice so I just got regular rice. The food was good, but now WOW. I liked the seasoning on the chicken. My friend got pho and thought it was delicious. Their prices were ridiculously cheap. Portions were big and we only paid around $8 per person. They had sodas but they came in cans and it's $1 each, no refills.

First time in, and we will definitely be back! I brought my family of four, and we all got something different. After sharing a little bit from each plate. I'm convinced everything is great!

Aloha from the 808 state. I love their PHO and fresh lemonade! The owners are so cool and friendly. I always make a it point to stop here when I am in Oklahoma. I also love their spring and summer rolls. The garlic butter fried shrimp hits the spot for me too.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
